Brighton, Beaches and New Friends

I returned from Develop Brighton over a week ago, and I'm still somehow tired.

I spent the majority of my time there just trying to take it all in, but boy, did I have a good time! The lovely setting, paired with perfect weather and good company, made for a busy yet fun-filled trip. I made a ton of new voiceover friends, finally met in person some people I'd recently worked with, enjoyed some free ice cream, and despite sweating out nearly all the fluids in my body, didn't get sunburnt (much).

And after not going to the seaside for almost 7 years, I finally got to have that paddle in the sea I'd been looking forward to since booking my trip.

Me and the gang.

In usual conference style, I came home with more than my fair share of merch from the expo; pens, stickers, badges, socks, and my all-time favourite being the old school Runescape mug I scored from the Jagex booth (if you spent your childhood playing Runescape like I did, you'll know exactly how over the moon I was)

2005 me is fangirling right now.

My First Audiobook

Another win for this month is booking my first-ever children's audiobook series! It's not necessarily NDA, but I'm holding off on announcing the main details until everything is in place. But I can say that it's a 10-book series with a few releasing this year and a few releasing in 2026, so stay tuned.

Sleepless Creatives Podcast Updates

Pride Poetry: Lord Byron Part 2 is Out Now!

I hope everyone had an amazing Pride Month! My podcast, Sleepless Creatives, has a special Pride episode every year called Pride Poetry, where we explore and celebrate Queer poets and creatives. This year's episode is a continuation of last year's Pride episode, Lord Byron.

New Sleep and Wellbeing Tips

This month, I started introducing sleep and wellbeing tips for performers and creatives from writers, actors and voice actors who have featured as Guest Readers in the last few years. We've got some lovely stuff in there so far, so go and have a look for some inspiration.

Some wellbeing tips from our very first Guest Reader, writer and radio presenter, Josh Anderson-Grey.
