Trains, Audiobooks & a New Website
How on gods green earth is it already the end of the year?
The days are getting shorter, the leaves are turning yellow, and there's a noticeable chill in the evening air - quite a change of scenery from my last newsletter, all about the warm, sunny beaches of Brighton.
But a change of season doesn't mean the wheels stop turning!
Introducing Denshattack!
And they have multitrack drifting?!
You might remember me mentioning a certain NDA video game in my first newsletter. Well, they announced it at Gamescom at last, and I'm FINALLY allowed to talk about it.
Introducing Denshattack! A combination of Jet Set Radio, Tony Hawk and a very serious railway obsession - set in a futuristic dystopian Japan, challenge, fight and team up with a host of characters to take down an evil corporation.
And of course, a character introduction is also in order, say hello to Madoka 'The Hurricane of Chugoku' - one of the main kick ass crew members!
She's dark, moody and pissed off (basically all the things that make you cool in anime), and she's been such a great character to get my teeth into as an actor.
And as if I couldn't get any more excited, I reached out to Fireshine Games about merchandise, and they offered to send me some! I received a neat little parcel in the post this morning, containing my goodies: an enamel pin, some stickers, and a trading card featuring Madoka, which will go proudly in a frame on my desk.
A pinch me moment.
I've wanted to be a voice actor for as long as I can remember, and young me wasn't sure if it was ever going to happen, so to actually be in a video game that other people are actually going to play and to have actual merchandise with my character actually on, to keep forever...young Florence is in disbelief.
At the moment, the game is set to release on PC and PlayStation sometime in Spring 2026, and a demo should be available to play before then.
So until then, add it to your Steam wishlist!

A New Children's Audiobook
I've just finished recording the first few books in a children's series set to come out soon. The series is called Crystal Cove by the author Red and is published by Sweet Cherry Publishing.
Set in a magical underwater town, each book takes us on a journey of self-discovery with a new character.
The books are beautifully written, with adorable illustrations and a whole host of fun characters, which I had a whale of a time creating (pun intended)
A NEW Website for Canary Studios
I've been working closely with the people at Queer Web Design to create a new website for my podcast production company, Canary Studios, which has a clearer layout and better workflow for our clients.
And finally, the new site is live! Still pending a few design tweaks, which we're going over, and the domain on my email is temporarily out of action whilst the hosting provider is being changed, but she's working and looking neat and shiny.

Guest Reader Applications Open for 2026!
My podcast, Sleepless Creatives, has a yearly series called the Guest Reader Series, where we invite other performers and creators on to read something for us in their own special episode.
Sarah McPhee, our Guest Reader for August 2025.
Well, the applications for our 2026 intake have just opened, and we've already got some cracking auditions being sent in! And with only 5 places to fill, it looks like I've got my work cut out for me.
If you work or train in the performing arts and creative industry and want a chance to feature on the Sleepless Creatives podcast, you can apply through the link on our socials, and if you're just in need of some sleep TLC, why not make the show a part of your nighttime routine?
That's all from me for this edition, take care and happy gaming!
